David Kennington Board Member
As Vice President of IT at Prudential Financial, David Kennington oversaw the Enterprise Architecture Review Board, which promotes convergence in business systems across the five major businesses. In this role, Mr. Kennington worked with business partners to gain consensus on security, integration and digital architecture. He also led an enterprise initiative to define an IT infrastructure strategy that positioned Prudential to take advantage of the cloud.
Before joining Prudential in 1997, Mr. Kennington was Vice President of Corporate IT at J.P. Morgan where he led the implementation of an information sharing strategy for JPM’s global business and the systems infrastructure for JPM’s new European headquarters in London. He started his career in telecommunications, working as an engineer for Electronic Data Systems and Cable & Wireless plc in the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Kennington earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Thames Polytechnic in London. He has participated in the Columbia’s Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program for six years and has actively mentored four students to successful completion.
